 About

For over 20 years, I worked as a corporate marketing graphic designer in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, and Honolulu. Although the work was steady, it did not allow much room for creativity, which led me to launch my own company in 1999, Graphics Chef Design.

The company name, Graphics Chef Design, was inspired by my love of designing beautiful graphics and my passion for cooking. Growing up, my mother would always have me help her in the kitchen, which cultivated my love of cooking and delicious food. After 20+ years of working as a graphic designer, I decided it was time to step away from my computer and enter the kitchen to pursue my dream and attend culinary school. Having worked as a busser, waitress, hotdog cart operator, and barista in my earlier years; then a line cook, a culinary teaching assistant and more recently an executive chef after graduating from culinary school, I knew working with food was where I would be the happiest…but sometimes I missed doing graphic work.

For fun, I started to create headbands, custom engraved cheese boards, and taught wine bottle painting classes. I came to the realization that I could blend my love of graphics and cooking to create my ideal profession. I now teach charcuterie board classes where I custom engrave the boards and cheese knife sets for all my clients who attend. They not only get my knowledge on how to put together a show-stopping charcuterie board, but also get to take home the custom engraved boards with all the food they have assembled on it, and some personally crafted, restaurant tested recipes! An added bonus for me is I get to show off my graphic design skills! To this day, I still do freelance graphic design from time to time since it allows me to continually refine my skills and work with some amazing clients.

Thank you for your support and interest in Graphics Chef Design!
